Resistance Bands

  1. light
  2. medium
  3. very heavy

I own a pair of resistance bands and they are excellent for toning muscles without getting bulky.  They are also extremely easy to use so a beginner down to seasoned exerciser should have no problems handling the bands for a workout.

These Bands, also known as exercise bands, should ideally measure at least 5 feet long.  If the band is too long, the wearer should wrap it around their hand to shorten it. Shortening the bands also, an ad tension to the band and is great for strength training.   I have found that doing several repetitions whereby I raise and lower my arms slowly benefits me more for toning. According to some consumer reviews, the Bodylastic resistance bands are the best on the market and received 4 out of 5 stars. The type of resistance pair I own are the SPRI ES499R Resistance Band with Door Attachments.  The colour I chose was yellow, which is the very light type of resistance band and are priced at just $14.98.

The Lighter resistance bands are for working smaller muscle groups, the medium to large are for multiple joint exercises with larger muscle groups.

Remember you do not have to spend a lot of money or cancel your workout when travelling. With the helpful tips above, getting fit just got easier.
