If you ask me if I trust in the process of the universe, I have to say “yes” because it continues on and on no matter what anyone thinks about it. Unfortunately it is MANKIND (us) who has actually made a mess of it. If we trusted more and worried less, things would take care of themselves and just BE what they are. If I trust myself, I can’t be SOLD things I don’t want or need. When I trust myself I feel well-connected to “source” (GOD) and make healthy and wise decisions.

Yet how, in a world full of deceptions, bogus claims, a government we have been programmed to mistrust– how do we believe what anyone tells us?? It is a great challenge, to be sure. And as I’ve said before, we can only trust ourselves, in the end. That is why it is our JOB to strive to be the best we can be so that we are up to the task. Trust is like the ocean: it ebbs and flows. Sometimes our connections are deep and sometimes they are not, and we need help. In order to maintain our balance and NOT be swept up into a maelstrom of ideas about who we should be, what we should buy and what we NEED in order to be happy, we need to stay connected to our instincts and intuition. It is ONLY when I ignore them that I make a bad choice. And I do that because my desires become stronger than my reason or my “knowing.” I bet you can prove this theory if you look closely enough! This is why God gave us hearts, souls, minds, feelings, instincts AND FREE WILL. We have no one but ourselves to blame if we screw it up.

I am completely fascinated with the concept of trust. It is like an epic film with so many dimensions, characters and stories. It is almost like viewing 3D glasses where you see it coming at you in the dark. It is holographic, amorphous, dynamic, invisible and compelling, all at once. Trust makes us hopeful, forgiving, curious, alive and in awe of life’s possibilities. It also creates wholeness, individuation, motivation, openness and faith, above all. If we can manage to embrace trust- not just as a concept, but as a function of our lives, we will certainly experience more joy, satisfaction, love and more of a sense of connection and fulfillment than we ever imagined. I know it is true for me. Trust is the great mirror of life because it is really all about us. The buck stops here… It is in our power to make life work for us and to make the journey a beautiful, affirmative and exhilarating experience; and remember, that no matter how greatly we are challenged, the glass is really half full because, as they say in New England, “if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute.” That is the way life is, too- ever-changing, flowing and evolving. Make the most of it because this is the life you are living!
