CrossFit is a workout that you don’t hear much. Your initial thought would probably run along cool sports, rigorous training.
CrossFit was developed in the 1980s. This workout is almost as if it’s meant for the Spartans. This seems like a military training and apparently, the military and police use this to train the newbies.
CrossFit’s motto is: “Game, Mission and Life”
Outdoing Yourself
The workout regime of CrossFit is both physically and mentally draining because the trainers will push you out of your comfort zone. Yes this is dangerous but they do value safety. But in reality, you really don’t get to have safety net when danger comes knocking at your door so it’s really better to be trained early and be prepared if that time comes.
When you stretch yourself out of what you thought are your limits, you surprise yourself and gain confidence along the process when it turns out that you can go beyond that net.
Work Out till till Your Muscle Screams
Whenever you go through your exercise, the day after that, every muscle in your body screams at you. For some, such muscle pain, soreness and fatigue are indicators that the workout was a success.
This is what CrossFit does to your body. The burning sensation is painful, but it’s worth it.
As the saying goes: “no pain, no gain.”
Injury Prone
A lot of people would try to dissuade you to try this out as it is injury-prone, too severe and so on.
It maybe be true but the idea here is that CrossFit at least exposes you to those situations early on. Your body and mind learn to adjust and adapt if that indeed happens to you. And it isn’t really that bad as you learn how to deal with those injuries.
This training is not for faint-hearted.
